IBM i PTF Guide, Volume 21, Number 44
November 6, 2019 Doug Bidwell
Another week, another security vulnerability that is being addressed in the IBM i software stack. As you see in this week’s issue of the IBM i PTF Guide, IBM Navigator for i is affected by CVE-2019-4450. See this link for further details. This CVE can be remediated by applying the following HTTP Group PTF:
- Release 7.4: SF99662 level 2
- Release 7.3: SF99722 level 19
- Release 7.2: SF99713 level 32
Also, you will see that there is a new WAS 8.5 Group PTF for IBM i 7.2 and IBM i 7.3.
As we have already reported in The Four Hundred, IBM’s developerWorks Connections website is being sunsetted and will be replaced by IBM Community or MySupport pages. See this link for further information, and also take a look at our coverage last week.
Finally, there is a new MQ Series Group PTF for both IBM i 7.2 and IBM i 7.3.
New (or Updated) Links this week:
- SMB: SMB and SMB2 Support at IBM i 7.3.
- JRN: All journal entries by code and type. (Thanks to Brad Ford for tipping us on this!)
And now, your weekly tip: Consider that 9009-41A systems may need four outlets to support 110 volt power. (Thanks to Glenn Powell at Onsite for that tip.)
The Guide at a glance: There are new defectives this week (11/02/19). Here is the defective PTF rundown, which is the last defective for each release:
