IBM i PTF Guide, Volume 22, Number 18
May 6, 2020 Doug Bidwell
Hello good people of IBM i Land. This week, there are updates for Rational Developer for i Version 18.104.22.168, for all releases of IBM i. This has been an on again/off again dance with IBM, and we are not sure why Big Blue posted it a few weeks ago, then unposted it, and then reposted it. However, the updates for RDi are for real – and available this week!
Aside from that, it has been a pretty quiet week for PTFs in Lake Bugsbegone up in lovely Minnesota, the Land of Lakes, with no new groups for the two current releases (IBM i 7.3 and IBM i 7.4), the one in regular support but no longer being sold (IBM i 7.2), and the one done with both sales and regular support but is on extended support and still occasionally is patched for security reasons (IBM i 7.1).
And a reminder once again: The Technology Refreshes for IBM i 7.3 and IBM i 7.4 are not going to be available until the middle of May, so the IBM i PTF Guide will not reflect the changes that are coming until then – even though they have been announced. However, the TR link in the Guide will provide insight into the info on the web about the upcoming TRs.
New (or Updated) Links this week:
- System/Recovery: 7.2 Systems management Recovering your system
- System/Recovery: 7.3 Systems management Recovering your system
- System/Recovery: 7.4 Systems management Recovering your system
And now your weekly tip: Just find a place to be still and listen.
