  • Raz-Lee Gains PureSystems Cert

    January 15, 2013 Alex Woodie

Raz-Lee Security last week announced that its iSecurity suite of security software has been certified to run on IBM‘s PureSystems. The Nanuet, New York, company also received certifications in Security Intelligence, Tivoli, and Power Systems.

IBM last year launched its new PureSystems line of “expert-integrated” systems, which combine servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and management into a single box (sort of like a “magic box”). The PureSystems lineup consists of three servers, including PureFlex, PureApplication, and PureData.

In addition to rethinking the hardware, IBM rethought how software will run on the systems. Instead of applications or tools, software is considered a “pattern.” To showcase the patterns for its PureSystems, IBM put together the PureSystems Centre, where potential customers can peruse patterns that have been certified to run on the three types of PureSystems servers.

It’s expected that Raz-Lee’s suite of IBM i security tools will soon be featured in the PureSystems Centre website. “Raz-Lee is proud of its recent achievements with IBM in various areas of certification,” states Eli Spitz, Raz-Lee’s vice president of business development in a press release. “Raz-Lee will continue partnering with industry-leading companies such as IBM, HP, RSA, Imperva, GFI, and others to provide its customers with solutions that have proven to integrate with other leading solutions.”

iSecurity is composed of more than a dozen products, including: Action, Anti-Virus, AP-Journal Business Analysis, AP-Journal Regulation Compliance, Assessment, Audit, Authority on Demand, Capture, Central Administration, Compliance Evaluator, Firewall, Password, Screen, System Control, View, Visualizer for Audit, and Visualizer for Firewall. For more information, see the company’s website at www.razlee.com.
