  • Chrono-Logic Offers Full Support for LANSA Version 13

    August 20, 2013 Alex Woodie

Chrono-Logic last week announced that its iAM change management suite offers full support for LANSA 13, the latest iteration of LANSA’s RDML language and the LANSA development environments for IBM i and Windows.

Montreal, Canada-based Chrono-Logic sells a range of tools in its iAM Suite that enhance the LANSA development experience, whether it targets the IBM i or Windows servers. The company’s primary goal is to provide change management capabilities for LANSA development, including providing task management, version control, code promotion, and distribution. However, it also supports development on IBM i in RPG, COBOL, and Java languages, and also provides other types of tools, such as code impact analysis tools.

LANSA quietly shipped LANSA 13 in late 2012, which updated the core foundational technology that LANSA sells across a range of offerings, such as its Visual LANSA, LANSA for the Web, and others.

This required Chrono-Logic to update its tools, which it recently did across all of its product suites, including iAM for IBM i, iAM for Windows Servers, iAM for PCs, iAM Analyzer, and iAM for Management.

“Supporting all LANSA products and versions has always been a priority for Chrono-Logic,” says Ghislain Jacques, vice president of product development at Chrono-Logic. “The iAM software is 100 percent written in LANSA and completely integrated to LANSA internal structure on both the IBM i and Windows platforms.”

In addition to supporting LANSA 13, the new releases of the Chrono-Logic software bring new features, such as: the capability to roll back changes after the fact; support for secure FTP; support for logical files without a source; and new compile parameters at the object level.
