  • GSS Group to Resell Q4bis Into J.D. Edwards Base

    March 20, 2007 Alex Woodie

Q4bis, a developer of Windows-based business intelligence products, and GSS Group, an iSeries reseller, have teamed up to target users of J.D. Edwards and SYSPRO ERP packages, the two companies announced last week.

Q4bis is a Windows-based business intelligence tool that delivers builds on Microsoft SQL Server 2005’s business OLAP architecture by delivering an easy-to-learn, easy-to-use Windows interface. The product features a DB2/400 connector to pull information from popular ERP systems such as BPCS, J.D. Edwards, and Movex, has been implemented at some OS/400 shops.

As part of the deal, Q4bis and GSS Group will work to incorporate Q4bis’ business intelligence capabilities into Vigilance, GSS’ suite of reporting and analysis applications with hooks and metrics built specifically for J.D. Edwards and SYSPRO environments. The two companies will then jointly market Q4bis-based applications that enable users to generate reports and monitor business performance metrics from a Web interface.

“Forming a strategic alliance with Q4bis enables GSS Group to provide JDE and SYSPRO users with the highest-caliber analytical solutions available to meet their dynamic informational requirements,” says Pat Gleeson, vice president for GSS, which is based near Toronto, Ontario.

The partnership with GSS Group is the latest move Q4bis has made to build its J.D. Edwards and iSeries business. Previously, Q4bis, which is based in Irvine, California, has established partnerships with SM Consulting, Corning Data Services, and Key Information Systems.
