HiT Software, a developer of data providers for i OS and other platforms, recently announced the hiring of Bruce Lee as its new territory manager for the rapidly growing Asian marketplace. In addition to hiring Lee, HiT is working to make more of its resources available in Chinese and Japanese languages.
Lee will work with HiT’s marketing, sales, and technical departments to build HiT Software’s presence in Asia. He will be responsible for working with strategic partners and system integrators to develop channel sales and marketing programs throughout Asia from his office in Hong Kong.
“The appointment of Mr. Lee assures customers and partners of the highest level of support,” says Giacomo Lorenzin, CEO of HiT Software, which is based in San Jose, California. “Mr. Lee brings many years of data integration and access sales, marketing, and technical knowledge and experience. He is responsible throughout Asia for working with strategic partners and system integrators to develop channel sales and marketing programs.”
Other moves that HiT hopes will boost its Asian fortunes include translating the instructional videos on its Web for its DBMoto and Allora products site into Mandarin Chinese and Japanese languages. Currently they are available in English and Spanish.
HiT is also altering its Web site to include Simplified Chinese and Kanji crawlable pages, which will enable customers and partners to quickly locate information on HiT’s solutions by searching through popular Asian search engines, including Baidu, Google China, and Google Japan.
