  • Global Goes After Infor ERP Visual Customers with New Partner

    April 14, 2009 Alex Woodie

Global Software and Visual South last week announced a partnership that will see Global’s spreadsheet automation software being offered to users of Infor‘s ERP Visual, which is the market that Visual South targets.

“We are pleased to introduce the Global Software, Inc. spreadsheet automation tools to our customer base,” said Jack Shannon, president of Visual South, which sells and implements Infor’s ERP Visual software suite around the country. “Global’s ability to turn Microsoft Excel into a powerful VISUAL dashboard will allow our customers to view key performance indicators in a familiar environment.”

Infor ERP Visual is a collection of ERP software designed for small and mid sized manufacturers and distributors. The software, which runs on OS/400 and Windows, was used by about 3,000 customers before Infor bought privately held Lilly in October 2004. After buying the software, Infor changed the product’s name from Visual Enterprise to ERP Visual.

Global’s Spreadsheet Server and Executive Dash software allow users to access and manipulate data held in ERP systems using Microsoft Excel, in near real-time. The software vendor supports many popular OS/400 ERP packages, including JD Edwards, BPCS, MAPICS, SAP, and others.

As part of the deal, Visual South has joined Global’s worldwide certified partner channel. Both companies are based in North Carolina.
