  • Quadrant Rolls Out IntelliChief Update

    November 16, 2010 Alex Woodie

Quadrant Software says the latest release of its content management and workflow routing application, IntelliChief version 3.1, will bring usability enhancements to users and administrators alike.

IntelliChief is a suite of Windows-based content management software designed to help organizations adopt paper-free processes for common business tasks. In addition to serving as a storage repository for documents that may have originated as spool files on an IBM i server, IntelliChief also offers features such as automated workflow, direct integration with ERP systems, document scanning, and data capture capabilities.

Quadrant has streamlined several existing features with IntelliChief version 3.1. The electronic document routing function has been improved with the addition of new notification levels, which should give users more information on the state of their document approvals. The software also includes new features governing whether a document can be released or held.

Integration with e-mail is another area of improvement. Quadrant says version 3.1 gives administrators the option of using the e-mail functionality of either IntelliChief or Formtastic (a separate Quadrant product) when setting up users’ capability to access e-mail from the IntelliChief viewer. Likewise, the viewer has been enhanced to support Quadrant’s separate FastFax offering when setting up the IntelliChief viewer for fax capabilities.

IntelliChief marketing director Brian Smith says the new features will be welcomed by users and administrators. “With key upgrades such as enhanced workflow, and a redesigned workbench, users will certainly achieve performance improvements,” he states in a press release.

IntelliChief has also been enhanced to support SQL Server 2008 R2; the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) has also been updated. IntelliChief version 3.1 is available now from IntelliChief, a subsidiary of Quadrant Software. For more information, see www.intellichief.com.
