  • ACOM Launches EZPaySuite

    December 13, 2011 Alex Woodie

ACOM Solutions this month began shipping EZPaySuite, a new collection of software that helps organizations implement electronic payment processing across the automated clearinghouse (ACH) network. The software incorporates a self-service Web portal, includes the capability to print MICR checks, supports positive pay, and works across multiple platforms.

ACOM is no stranger to electronic payment processing. For years, the Long Beach, California, company has developed EZPayManager, a Windows-based software product that provides an onramp to ACH processing, supports payee self-service registration, and integrates with ACOM’s line of document and content management tools for organizations using IBM i servers and other platforms.

Now it appears that ACOM is transitioning away from EZPayManager and toward EZPaySuite as its strategic product for electronic transaction processing. However, it’s unclear if ACOM is moving away from its native IBM i electronic payment solution, EZPayManager/400; the company did not respond to questions by this newsletter’s deadline.

In its marketing for EZPaySuite, ACOM touts the scalability and modularity of the software, and its capability to handle multiple distribution levels and settlement activities across multiple systems and platforms, without the need for programming or application changes. The software can be used to automate all accounts payable (AP) payment processes, or implemented in a phased approach, the company says.

Specific functions handled by EZPaySuite include: outgoing electronic payments via ACH; email notification; automated registration and outreach for vendors; vendor self-service; manual check-writing capabilities; positive pay (check fraud software); and secure watch.

ACOM senior vice president Jim Scott says it’s easy to get started with EZPaySuite, which can be used by companies of all sizes. “EZPaySuite is completely scalable, with ‘quick start’ bundles that are sized right, easy to implement and to upgrade as customer needs grow,” Scott states in a press release. “Authorized users can easily make additions or changes to bank and/or company information and apply conditional logic to any payment scenarios. This flexible set-up enables clients to address changing company policies, procedures, individual payment advice rules, output distribution points, and payment notifications.”

EZPaySuite became available through ACOM’s channel on December 1. For more information, see www.acom.com.
