  • Hubspan Unveils Cloud-Based Invoicing

    September 27, 2011 Alex Woodie

Hubspan is augmenting its cloud-based B2B data exchange platform with an invoicing solution called SnapShot for Invoice. The solution, which is sold as an add-on to its core trading system, automatically renders PDF images of electronic invoices during the B2B integration process.

Hubspan’s flagship trading platform, called the WebSpan SaaS Integration Platform, is a next-generation hosted EDI solution that helps simplify the tedious task of connecting buyers, sellers, and other participants in various industrial and commercial supply chains. The service automates various EDI-type tasks, including message translation, data validation, choreography, activity monitoring, and multi-party routing. It supports all types of B2B connections, including popular protocols like X12 and AS2; trading communities like RosettaNet; product data synchronization services; and SOAP- or REST-based Web services. Its 20,000-plus users include Infor, Oracle, JD Edwards, and SAP customers, as well as stand-alone procurement and e-commerce solutions.

With SnapShot for Invoice, a Hubspan user won’t have to worry about getting his hands on an invoice document that he can print, email, and archive for compliance purposes. The solution automatically presents to the user a PDF copy of an invoice that lives in the Hubspan cloud.

The new offering enables customers to simultaneously send standard electronic invoices via the Hubspan B2B cloud while automatically generating the PDF image, with both the electronic message and PDF delivered to the intended recipient, Hubspan says. Hubspan provides a library of invoice templates they can use, or they can implement a custom PDF invoice using Hubspan’s managed services.

Hubspan says SnapShot for Invoice answers a growing need by companies of all sizes to create invoice images or attachments in order to comply with key business process workflows, compliance mandates, or security policies. “Snapshot for Invoice makes image rendering a seamless part of a multi-enterprise integration transaction,” Trisha Gross, Hubspan president and chief executive officer says in a press release.

Get More Out of Your IBM i

With soaring costs, operational data is more critical than ever. IBM shops need faster, easier ways to distribute IBM applications-based data to users more efficiently, no matter where they are.

    The Problem:

For Users, IBM Data Can Be Difficult to Get To

IBM Applications generate reports as spooled files, originally designed to be printed. Often those reports are packed together with so much data it makes them difficult to read. Add to that hardcopy is a pain to distribute. User-friendly formats like Excel and PDF are better, offering sorting, searching, and easy portability but getting IBM reports into these formats can be tricky without the right tools.

    The Solution:

IBM i Reports can easily be converted to easy to read and share formats like Excel and PDF and Delivered by Email

Converting IBM i, iSeries, and AS400 reports into Excel and PDF is now a lot easier with SpoolFlex software by DRV Tech.  If you or your users are still doing this manually, think how much time is wasted dragging and reformatting to make a report readable. How much time would be saved if they were automatically formatted correctly and delivered to one or multiple recipients.

SpoolFlex converts spooled files to Excel and PDF, automatically emailing them, and saving copies to network shared folders. SpoolFlex converts complex reports to Excel, removing unwanted headers, splitting large reports out for individual recipients, and delivering to users whether they are at the office or working from home.

Watch our 2-minute video and see DRV’s powerful SpoolFlex software can solve your file conversion challenges.
