NetCustomer Discounts Third-Party Support Offerings for J.D. Edwards Shops

Third-party maintenance service provider netCustomer is offering all J.D. Edwards and PeopleSoft customers one free support issue this month as part of its “Independence Day” offering.
NetCustomer launched its cafeteria-style menu of maintenance and support services for users of J.D. Edwards World and EnterpriseOne and PeopleSoft Enterprise ERP applications about 16 months ago. Instead of a one size fits all approach, the San Jose, California-based company allows its customers to pick from an assortment of maintenance services, such as regulatory and tax updates, as well as customization and development services.
On July 3, NetCustomer announced a special deal designed to entice PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards customers who might be on the fence about third-party maintenance. During the month of July, all PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards customers can get one free consultation and support engagement for a single support issue. The company is only providing 50 such free engagements, so you should act fast if you want to take advantage of the offer.
Punita Pandey, netCustomer’s CEO, says the on-going legal battle between SAP and Oracle over the alleged theft of Oracle’s intellectual property by TomorrowNow, the third-party maintenance provider that is owned by SAP and competes with NetCustomer for PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards customers, is confusing the market.
“Customers may be uncertain about the support choices available to them,” Pandey says. “We believe this situation is detrimental to customers who want to free themselves from the shackles of vendor maintenance. We felt what better way to celebrate this 4th of July than to promote a truly independent support choice with immediate ROI to customers.”
