  • IntelliChief Touts Install at Bergquist

    July 26, 2011 Alex Woodie

Bergquist, a supplier of parts for the propane industry, has streamlined its purchase-to-pay processes with the installation of document management and imaging tools from IntelliChief, the software vendor announced this month.

Bergquist is a Toledo, Ohio, company that supplies equipment and technical assistance for customers in the propane industry. The company operates three distribution centers covering 60,000 square feet that house more than 12,000 items, such as regulators, valves, gauges, fittings, cylinders, and various other accessories.

The company recently implemented IntelliChief, the Windows-based suite of document management, imaging, and workflow solutions that was spun off by Quadrant Software just prior to Quadrant’s acquisition by Candescent Partners late last year.

According to the Tampa, Florida-based software company, the initial implementation of IntelliChief at Bergquist targeted the purchase-to-pay cycle in its accounts payable department. IntelliChief helps automate the system, including capturing invoices, storing documents, routing requests, getting approvals, and creating payments.

The new software paid immediate dividends in the reduction of paper and lost or mis-filed documents, says Shawn Kaelber, the information technology director at Bergquist. “In the first month we’ve been live with our IntelliChief implementation, we’ve already quickly seen great results and been able to send more and more file cabinets out the door–never to return!” Kaelber states in a press release.

The IntelliChief roll-out at Bergquist continues, and next the company intends to use the software to automate its order-to-cash process.

This article was updated. Quadrant Software, not IntelliChief, was acquired by Candescent Partners. Quadrant’s original owners spun out IntelliChief just prior to the acquisition. IT Jungle regrets the error.

    JAMS Software

One Scheduler. IBM i, Windows, Linux, and More.

IBM i teams trust JAMS to schedule and orchestrate jobs across every platform in their environment. Centralized visibility, cross-platform dependency management, and alerts that reach the right person before the business feels it.

Fewer than 5% of IBM i shops run IBM i only. The rest are managing cross-platform dependencies — often without a clear picture of how they connect. JAMS draws that map, enforces those dependencies automatically, and gives your team a single place to monitor, manage, and recover when something goes wrong.

If you are running hundreds of CL scripts and custom RPG processes, bring them as-is. JAMS runs them exactly as they do today — except now they are visible, monitored, and part of an orchestrated workflow instead of scattered across folders only one person knows about.

No consumption-based pricing. No surprise bills when your workload spikes. You pay based on how many machines JAMS talks to — that’s it.
