  • Spinnaker Offers JD Edwards Reporting Tool from ReportsNow

    October 10, 2012 Alex Woodie

Spinnaker Support, a growing provider of third-party maintenance and support for JD Edwards World and EnterpriseOne users, recently announced that it has expanded its partnership with ReportsNow, a provider of reporting tools for JD Edwards shops. As part of the partnership, the companies will send referrals to each other.

ReportsNow was founded by Christopher Bruce in 2003 with the goal of developing easier-to-use reporting tools for JD Edwards World and EnterpriseOne ERP systems. The company came up with a tool called Data Access Studio (DAS) that’s specifically designed to access JD Edwards data stores.

DAS enables users to execute queries against their JD Edwards tables, and to display the resulting reports from a Web browser or a fat client Windows interface. The software includes pre-canned reports for displaying JD Edwards data, and delivers flexible summary and drill-down capabilities. It allows users to display data in dashboards, or export reports to Excel.

The partnership between ReportsNow and Spinnaker, which are both based in Denver, Colorado, should benefit Spinnaker customers, says Matt Stava, managing principal for Spinnaker. “Creating an alliance with ReportsNow made perfect sense for our business. Like our value-added services, their highly successful third-party reporting solution for JD Edwards fills a void in the JD Edwards solutions landscape.”

Spinnaker provides third-party maintenance of Oracle JD Edwards and SAP ERP systems. The privately held company had more than 160 JD Edwards customers following its acquisition of Versytec in March.
