  • Quadrant Expands Reseller Program

    October 11, 2011 Alex Woodie

Quadrant Software last week announced the signing of five new resellers that will distribute its line of document management products for IBM i and other platforms. All five of the companies signed on with Quadrant within a month, the vendor says.

The new Quadrant resellers include GEMKO Information Group, a provider of Microsoft Windows and IBM i services based in Amherst, New York; High Plains Technology, an IBM business partner based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; NSI, an IT and network consultancy based in Naugatuck, Connecticut; Synthasys, a management consultancy based in Rochelle Park, New Jersey; and Tranztec, an IT solutions provider based in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Quadrant has been quietly evolving its business strategy since the December 2010 acquisition by Candescent Partners, a deal that also saw Quadrant’s IntelliChief content management product spun off as its own company, under the ownership of Quadrant co-founders Gary Langton and Peter DiPierro.

Earlier this year, the Mansfield, Massachusetts, company announced the hiring of new executive leadership. Steve Woodard was named president and CEO and Tracy Cirillo was hired as vice president of finance and administration.

The new crop of resellers appears to be the direct result of the June hiring of Bill Dowell as its new vice president of channels and strategic relationships. Dowell was charged with fostering a worldwide partner channel.

Michael Budzich, director of operations for GEMKO hailed Quadrant’s “solid portfolio of products and dedication to customer support” as reasons to sign on with Quadrant. Mike Steiner, president of High Plains Technology, complemented the Quadrant product suite’s “outstanding value” and Quadrant’s technical support.

Quadrant develops the FastFax and Formtastic series of fax and electronic forms software. The company claims 3,500 installations in IBM i shops around the world. For more information, see www.quadrantsoftware.com.
