  • RJS Hires Sales and Technical Specialist Away from Quadrant Software

December 13, 2010 Timothy Prickett Morgan

As The Four Hundred reported last week, a private equity firm called Candescent Partners has bought document management software company Quadrant Software. But one of the employees at Quadrant has jumped to rival RJS Software.

RJS has tapped Kurt Wachtendorf to be director of solutions at the Burnsville, Minnesota, company. Wachtendorf was director of sales and chief solution architect at Quadrant Software, where he worked for more than seven years. Prior to that, Wachtendorf was vice president of sales at TamGroup, an IBM server and storage business partner located in San Rafael, California. Wachtendorf has been involved in the dream of the “paperless business” for two decades, and was at IBM in a variety of roles before joining TamGroup and Quadrant Software.

“Kurt brings RJS a level of expertise and integrity in the ECM industry that is second to none,” Richard Schoen, president and chief technology officer at the company that bears his name, said in a statement announcing the appointment. “He will be critical to helping our customers understand the benefits and ROI of automating accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other business processes.”

RJS says that Wachtendorf will work with the RJS sales team to design workflows for document management as they do sales and implement the management solutions they have sold. He will also host a bunch of regional workshops next year on how companies can go paperless to streamline their business operations.
